Add FMOS Functionality through Cross-compatabiltiy with 12/Lower Modules
Function Module Adapter (33-03-63-000)
The addition of this Adapter allows FMOS Upper Tubes to be attached to all
Lower Modules within the Optem® Zoom 12/System. You can extend the capabilities of your FMOS to yield larger illuminated
fields, integrate polarized light, and include degrees of motorized focus.
Refer to Zoom 12/specifications for features and operating
characteristics of its Lower Modules.
As far as combined optical
performance, with the standard objective lens installed, the Zoom 12/
Function Modules simulate a “90” FMOS Lower Module. The Auxiliary Lenses
modify performance as per their specified value. This is not the case if they
are used in the normal Function Modules with values other than 90mm.
Motorization
In addition to economy, one of the principle advantages of an FMOS
system over a zoom system is the exceptional service longevity due to a
scarcity of moving parts.
However, your application may require the integration of remote
focusing capabilities. In these cases, through the addition of an FMOS Lower Module Adapter (33-03-63-000),
you can integrate one of the Optem® Zoom 12/Motorized 5mm Focus or
15mm Fine Focus Modules listed below in place of the, (refer to page 2 of FMOS System Diagram, PDF download).

Illumination lower function modules incorporate an Analyzer for
